Ausgestellt: London, The Royal Academy, 1839, Nr. 937. Die dazugehörige Fußnote lautete: `Diese Eiche soll 800 oder 900 Jahre alt sein. Die Kapelle im Baum wurde 1696 vom Abbe du Detroit, dem Kurat von Allonville, errichtet. Über der Kapelle befindet sich ein Raum namens La Cellule de l'Ermite. `.
