* Fitzpayne practised her drawing skills on the streets of Leeds but was later drawn to Camberwell. She focused increasingly upon the homeless and those living rough on the city's streets, determined at all times to show her sympathy for their situation and her concern for their plight. The closely worked ink technique and the communality of these men evoke the spirit of some of Goya's etched subjects.
