"La Giuseppina" refers to both a nickname for a specific model by the British artist Walter Sickert and a painting he created between 1903–1904 based on her. Sickert, a prominent Post-Impressionist, used the name for his favorite model during his winter in Venice, where he painted prostitutes in his studio. The painting, titled "La Giuseppina, the Ring," is now held by the Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza in Madrid.
Some slight foxing to the top right hand corner & above the head, with further slight foxing.
Otherwise in good order.

Lawrences Auctioneers present their Autumn Fine Art Sale. The auction includes a fine art, period furniture and collectables.

The furniture section boasts includes English and continental pieces, with emphasis on mahogany and walnut from the Georgian and Victorian eras. Decorative arts include fine mantel clocks, glassware and period bronze figures.
