Description

An interesting group lot relating to a prize winning racing pigeon, including a large oil on canvas portrait of 'Blue Cock' within a landscape scene, 'Winner of the La Teste Race 1934, distance 477 miles, 523 yards, velocity 904yds, Ealing Columbarian Society, Owner Mr A E Prowse', signed by Andrew Beer to the bottom left corner and in a frame (39cms by 29cms, frame 52cms by 42cms. With an engraved 9ct gold medal relating to this race (Ealing Col Society A. Prowse, La Teste 1934). (11.21 grams). (2).

Condition

Picture, small tear/hole to the left of the bird (1.5cms across), would benfit from a light clean, some craquelure to the sky (mostly in the sky).
Medal seems fine.
